Dear Blog Subscribers,
My apologies for the long time that has passed since my last notice to you about updates to my blog. Finally, I was able to recover and restore this blog mailing list after a computer crash. I was trying to accurately add all my new subscribers to an older version of this list and I apologize in advance to anyone who previously unsubscribed if I put you back on this list again by accident. Please let me know if you do want to receive any future updates and I will remove you ASAP. Thanks for your patience!
I have spent some time improving my web site over the past few months. Last week I put up a new page called PROGRESS where anyone can see short movies of my latest finished paintings as I created them (from beginning to end!). Also, I added a new page called ON EASEL today. This page provides you with a chance to have a "sneak peek" into my studio to see what I am currently working on. I will be changing these images often as my work progresses.
Recently I applied to many national and international competitions and was honored to be a finalist for the following contests:
- The American Artist Magazine’s 2009 Cover Art Competition
- "International Artist Magazine’s" 2009 Flowers & Gardens Art Competition (Published in Issue No. 66)
- "Salon International 2009", a Juried Exhibition of the International Museum of Contemporary Masters of Fine Art in San Antonio, Texas
- Top “Mini50” winner of the 2008 Paint the Parks Art Competition and Show Tour (2008 and 2009)
For more information please visit my NEWS & AWARDS page.
I have created many miniatures and larger-sized paintings since my last newsletter / blog update. I do not want to overload folk’s inboxes with a multi-megabyte newsletter, so I will provide links to my more recent paintings that you can view on my website if you wish.
To see my new still life collection, please visit the OIL paintings gallery and for my small watercolor collection please visit the MINIATURE page.
If you will have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Varvara Harmon
